Chittagong - The Land of Twelve Saints - Hotels

Chittagong is a fairly big, spread out town, and the largest international seaport in the country. Like Dhaka the streets are filled with masses of rickshaws, though the city puts in a little more effort to keep its streets and sidewalks clean. Foreigners will notice a distinct increase in nuisance from beggars in certain intersections, for example, New Market Circle and the central Railway Station. Majority of the beggars are from other parts of the country such as Greater Mymensingh Region and Greater Noakhali area. This is due to the fact that Chittagonian people are more prone to charity relative to other parts of the country. It is a city gifted with numerous attraction sites and destinations. Though Chittagong has one of the busiest seaports, the city maintains its natural quietness and tranquility. Here lie a big number of tombs, religious temples, colorful hills and the most amazing beaches in the world. Here, one can experience and enjoy the natural beauty and gifts of nature.

Sightseeing in Chittagong can take you some of the most beautiful, most popular and most frequently visited places in this major seaport and second largest city of Bangladesh. Your travel packages for Sightseeing in Chittagong can start off with a visit to the Patenga Beach. It is a brilliant sandy beach at the place where the mighty sea and the river Karnaphuli meets.
